Well it seems Marvel Studio’s former man-with-a-plan let the cat out of the bag recently in a candid interview to Empire Magazine, as he let rapid Marvel fans know that originally there were even more superheroes on the roster for his latest blockbuster sequel, Avengers: Age of Ultron in theaters now . . .
The director goes on to too talk about how the original idea for the big end credits scene, as well as the movie was much different and featured, as you might have you guessed it . . . . . Spider-Man and Captain Marvel. The word is that Whedon originally wanted Captain Marvel to actually be featured in the sequel and Spider-Man to appear as a new Avenger in the end credits sequence. He’s a brief summary from the interview . .
“I would have put both Spider-Man and Captain Marvel in the movie, but neither of the deals were made final at that time. And then later the Marvel guys were like, ‘We’re making a Captain Marvel movie now and we’ve also got ‘Spider-Man’ as a property now too,’ and I’m like, . . . ‘I’ve already locked my film down you F******! Thanks for nothing.”
Of course, it’s not the directors fault as those heroes were not available at that time & really are still being worked on by the studio. So one cannot blame Whedon for wanting those beloved heroes on his last big screen outing with Marvel. The studio doesn’t seem to move an inch on it’s characters unless final ink has been shed. As always, well certainly keep you movie-buff’s posted on any future stories . . .
