DC Film Star Talks Flashpoint Future?

transparent_space 3Well, . . in some fun DC Film news it seems Jeffery Dean Morgan ( who stars as Thomas Wayne in Batman vs Superman ) has recently shared his opinion on the the future of the DC Universe on film. Here’s what he had to say about the possibility of reprising his role as Thomas Wayne in a Flashpoint movie –

“I’ll keep talking about it because it’s really fun and I would like Warner Bros too open their ears a little bit. When Zack Snyder was involved in the DC world more, I think there was a real possibility. But now that he’s kind of stepped away, I’ve heard different things that Flashpoint might not be going in that direction at all. It’ll be more of an origin story for Flash. But look, I’m always here and would love to do it.”

It’s Always very interesting to hear his thoughts on the matter and I hope WB stills considers him for the role, if on the table. One might in fact say that Snyder’s BvS actually took the wind out-of-a traditional Flashpoint story to reset the DCU, since Snyder obviously adopted elements from an out-of-control Thomas Wayne Batman, to Bruce Wayne for the 2016 film.

So it seems they might have no choice but to adapt a slightly, or very different version of the original story, or scrap it completely as Morgan alluded too. Rest assured sports fans, Cinemazone Movies will keep you posted as more come in . . .

Did Hugh Jackman Tease Character’s Classic Yellow Suit in the Upcoming Film?

Well it seems that big-time actor Hugh Jackman took to twitter recently to shake things up & give fans a little something to talk about in the weeks ahead until his final film outing as everyone’s favorite cigar chomping, claw wielding mutant in Logan, due out this March . .

Wolverine first appeared in Bryan Singer’s X-Men back in 2000, to which the team mostly suited up in black leather get-ups. That has largely been the case in subsequent movies too follow. But in a deleted scene from “The Wolverine” the yellow costume was seen in a box that was gifted to Logan as he departed Japan. So could Logan finally be where the suit shows up?

In the second trailer for Logan, we saw the young mutant X-23, played by Dafne Keen, holding an X-Men comic book. Outside of that being self-referential, it did provide some context that would make the yellow costume showing up in the movie less jarring and seemingly out of place. Since Logan is set in a not-too-distant future where most mutants have disappeared and the landscape is very bleak, a bright yellow superhero costume might not be appropriate.

So finally, here’s what the actor posted on his official Twitter page, featuring something that all X-Men fans can get behind. Given the very subtle way some things are teased these days, it seems possible that this could be a sign that the suit may make an appearance in Logan. If it really is the last time we see his version of Wolverine onscreen, that would be a fun thing to see and would serve as a great bit of fan service . . .

Which Hero Will Appear In Marvel’s New Spider-Man?

New details have recently emerged on Marvel’s upcoming Spider-Man movie front. Comments made by Robert Downey Jr. on ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! before debuting the first trailer for Captain America: Civil War might have shed some light on the production. Here’s what the actor jokingly had to say, in response to Chris Evans talking about how hot it was in Atlanta while they were shooting the upcoming Captain America: Civil War, in theaters next spring . .

“Oh ha, by the way, ( Chris Evans ) don’t forget, we are going to shoot in Atlanta again, you and I . . . oh yeah.”

Could Robert Downey Jr. in fact been referring to the in development Spider-Man film? It’s certainly very possible, but it’s worth noting that there are other Marvel Cinematic Universe movies shooting in Atlanta at that time as well.

So only time will tell what will come of this possible, latest comment on the Marvel / Sony production. We’ll certainly keep you crazy fans posted if more comes in on this . . .

Jack Reacher 2 reteams the mega-star with Oscar-winner Edward Zwick, who last directed Cruise in the critically acclaimed, “The Last Samurai” over a decade ago. The upcoming sequel is reported to be based on “Never Go Back” – the 18th Jack Reacher novel written by Lee Child. Jack Reacher 2 finds the investigator caught up in a mystery involving a commanding officer at a Virginia army base ( Smulders ), and a teenager named Samantha, who might, in fact, be Jack Reacher’s daughter. The first Jack Reacher was a mystery / action / thriller involving a convoluted conspiracy, but the sequel is said to be more comparatively straight-forward, with its focus more on Reacher’s relationships with Susan and Samantha.

Paramount Pictures and Skydance Entertainment’s untitled Jack Reacher Sequel is officially set to arrive in theaters on October 21, 2016 . .
