Did Hugh Jackman Tease Character’s Classic Yellow Suit in the Upcoming Film?

Well it seems that big-time actor Hugh Jackman took to twitter recently to shake things up & give fans a little something to talk about in the weeks ahead until his final film outing as everyone’s favorite cigar chomping, claw wielding mutant in Logan, due out this March . .

Wolverine first appeared in Bryan Singer’s X-Men back in 2000, to which the team mostly suited up in black leather get-ups. That has largely been the case in subsequent movies too follow. But in a deleted scene from “The Wolverine” the yellow costume was seen in a box that was gifted to Logan as he departed Japan. So could Logan finally be where the suit shows up?

In the second trailer for Logan, we saw the young mutant X-23, played by Dafne Keen, holding an X-Men comic book. Outside of that being self-referential, it did provide some context that would make the yellow costume showing up in the movie less jarring and seemingly out of place. Since Logan is set in a not-too-distant future where most mutants have disappeared and the landscape is very bleak, a bright yellow superhero costume might not be appropriate.

So finally, here’s what the actor posted on his official Twitter page, featuring something that all X-Men fans can get behind. Given the very subtle way some things are teased these days, it seems possible that this could be a sign that the suit may make an appearance in Logan. If it really is the last time we see his version of Wolverine onscreen, that would be a fun thing to see and would serve as a great bit of fan service . . .
